Frequently asked questions
For guests
- I received an album link — do I need to pay?
- No. As an event guest you never pay. The organiser of your event has already unlocked the album, which means you can browse all previews and download the full-resolution photos at no cost.
- Do I need to create an account to view photos?
- You can browse the previews without an account. To download the full-resolution originals you will need a free account so the platform can verify that you attended the event.
- How long can I download the photos?
- Once the organiser has unlocked an album, you have access for up to one year. You will receive an email before access expires. The organiser can renew at any time.
- Can I share the album link with friends?
- Yes. The album link works for everyone at the event. Anyone who opens it can browse the previews and, once unlocked, download the full-resolution photos.
For organisers
- How do I get the full-resolution photos?
- Open the album link the photographer sent you, unlock access from your account, then download the full-resolution JPEGs (and RAW files where available) — individually or as a bundle.
- What's the difference between the preview and the download?
- The album shows previews at a reduced resolution (720px) so the work stays protected. The files you download after unlocking are the full-resolution originals.
- How long do I keep access?
- Unlocked albums stay available for up to one year, and access can be renewed. After that an album may be removed.
For photographers
- How do I publish an album?
- Create an album, drop in your JPEG, HEIC and RAW files together (RAW files are paired to their matching photo by filename), then publish. You share one link per album with your client.
- How do I get paid?
- Album access is sold at a price set by the platform. You earn 33.3% of each first-year unlock and 10% of each renewal year. Your shoot fee is separate and arranged off-platform. (Payments are paused while the platform is being tested.)
- What about portrait rights and the AVG/GDPR?
- When you publish, you confirm you have the right to publish the images and accept portrait-rights responsibility for the people depicted. The platform also provides a consent flow for the commissioning client.
- Can I protect an album with a password?
- Yes. On the album page you can switch on a password; visitors must enter it before they can view the photos. The share link stays the same.
- Can other organisations show my album on their own site?
- Yes, via partner sharing and the Embed API. You generate an API key under Embed and the partner drops a small widget on their site; it shows only your published albums.
